Are you an Infection Preventionist passionate about advancing your career and making a significant impact on healthcare quality and patient safety? We are honored to present the Monica Maher Scholarship, designed to support your professional growth and development!
Monica Maher, BA, RN, CIC dedicated her life’s work in nursing to infection prevention and control as an Infection Preventionist and Leader at Emory Healthcare for many years. Monica served in many volunteer capacities with the Greater Atlanta Chapter of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). The impact of her work has touched thousands of lives. Monica was a passionate infection preventionist who advocated not only for her patients, but also for the profession to which she was dedicated. While Monica has left this physical earth, her impact has not. Her husband, Ed Maher, has generously created a scholarship of $5000 in her name.
